Denne Neighbourhood Council
Jane Apostolou
I've been part of the Denne Neighbourhood Council team for four years and became chairman two years ago.
With the help of our clerk, Jenny, I co-ordinate the various sub-committees in the council and the meetings that they attend.
I chair our monthly DNC meetings and from this follow up any issues that have been raised at the meeting. I do this with Horsham District or West
Sussex County Council and I also liaise with the District Councillors that attend our monthly meetings
.
I am part of the planning sub-committee, the West of Horsham Development reference group, I represent the Horsham Society within DNC and I
have also trained as part of the DNC Speed Indicator Device team.
I am currently heavily involved in the setting up and running of the new Horsham Town Community Partnership.

I joined Denne Neighbourhood Council in January 2009 because I am interested in the community I live in.  Having three young children who all
have special needs I like to represent the views of families and the disabled within Denne Neighbourhood.
I am on the planning committee.
I am SID co-ordinator for Denne Neighbourhood and also attend Sussex Police Neighbourhood Panel meetings.
I am also responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Denne Neighbourhood Council website.

I am the Treasurer of  Denne Neighbourhood council.  I am also very keen to assist the already well established planning committee in
representing local views to our district council.

I have worked in the public service for a number of years initially for a large London borough council, then a teaching hospital in West London and
finally at a local school. I hope to put all the experience I have gained over the years to good use in DNC.
